Bow Tie / Tuxedo Applique
Here is a cute little formal design for the little men in your life!
Since releasing the neck tie appliqué design some time ago, I have been asked soooo many times for a bow tie appliqué too.
This set includes many options. There are bow tie designs on their own in three sizes (one for the 4x4 hoop and two for the 5x7 hoop), and also versions with stitched buttons and shirt detail. These are great for commonly available white-coloured garments, like baby bibs, tees and onesies. But in case you can get hold of black items, I have also included a version which has an appliqué for the shirt (see photo above).
The 5x7 designs are probably a more realistic size, but for those who only have a 4x4 hoop, I have also included a bow tie rotated in the hoop to maximize the available space. This is the same size as the small 5x7 version, however because it is rotated diagonally, you will need to be mindful of this when hooping! For any of the designs, if your software allows you to print a template, this is extremely helpful in getting the placement right on your garment.
I have also included versions without the crease detail on the tie, as some printed fabrics may look better without this – that decision is completely up to you! Or if you only want the buttons and bow tie, simply omit the stitching for the shirt lines. The 5x7 designs with stitched shirt and buttons also come in two different shirt lengths (lines).
There are too many choices I know – sorry about that! But there is sure to be a version that will suit and look great on whatever you want to stitch it on!
